FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q.
How do I select a homebuilder?
A.
In selecting a homebuilder a strong reputation is, in our opinion, the most important consideration. Other items to think about are a long career in home building, a local presence and services that make building your home a cost effective smooth process.
The community you will live in is also important, as well as the price range and best value for the dollar.
Q.
If you price out a home for me what will it include?
A.
When we price out a home it is all-inclusive. The price will include the lot, driveway, final lot grading, painted walls, utility connection fees, and a beautiful home finished with our standard features. Many of our standard features are often considered upgrades with other builders. We try to avoid hearing “Oh, I didn’t realize that wasn’t included” from our homeowners.
Q.
How much do you charge per square foot?
A.
The cost of building a home can fluctuate based on different floor plans, features and location. Your personal style and selections also greatly impact the cost. We invite you to read this great article we found for a better understanding of what determines the dollar per square foot of a house.
Q.
Is the price negotiable?
A.
Of course, but it will usually involve making changes to the home you want to build. We will price out a home just the way you want it, but if it that number comes back higher than your budget, we will gladly suggest ways to cut back on cost without sacrificing your vision.
Q.
I’ve received quotes from other builders, yours seems to be more. why?
A.
Our price may seem higher than others at first, but it is because we genuinely want to give you the most accurate price we can upfront. We don’t leave anything out or cheapen any of our products to make our pricing seem more attractive, only to later hit you with a list of overages for items you thought were included to begin with. We strive to get your contract cost right the first time so your mortgage can cover the entire home and limit additional out of pocket expenses for you.
Q.
Can you give a guaranteed start and finish date?
A.
After our clients sign their contracts we usually begin construction within 2 weeks. We strive to complete all homes in 5-7 months, but what is most important is that you are comfortable with the decisions you are making and the building process.
Q.
Will you supervise my project yourself?
A.
Yes, Barry is on site almost every day of the week.
